IPL 2010 Kolkata Knight Riders vs. Chennai Super Kings (Match 8) result.

Chennai Super Kings won the eigth match of IPL season three, against Kolkata Knight Riders held at Eden Gardens, by 55 runs. MS Dhoni won the Man of the Match Award for his brilliant batting display.

Kolkata Knight Riders might felt relieved when they dismissed Hayden in the second over of the match following a maiden by Shane Bond. Kolkata Knight Riders were brilliant in their bowling as they managed to restrict Chennai Super Kings for just 96 runs in 15 overs. Thereafter they had nothing much to cheer about. S. Badrinath and MS Dhoni smashed the remaining five overs and scored 69 runs from it. More importantly, they did not gave away there wickets. Dhoni played a captain’s knock by scoring 66 runs of just 33 balls. Badrinath gave him good support too.

It was not a good start for Kolkata Knight Riders as they lost Brad Hodge in their very first over. Manoj Tiwary and W.Saha tried to put on some fireworks. But everything went wrong for them in that night. W.Saha remained the top scorer for Kolkata Knight Riders as he scored 22 runs of 13 balls. No batsmen in their lineup tried to put on some partnership.The tale enders tried there luck but it was too late. Kolkata Knight Riders scored a total of 109 runs. Thus Chennai won the match by 55 runs.
