MI vs. RR (match 2) result.

The game was an example of how twenty-20 cricket is all about. There was some brilliant batting, bowling and fielding. Both these teams fought very well to the last over of their innings. At the end Mumbai Indians defeated Rajastan Royals by a narrow 4 run margin.

After winning the toss Mumbai Indians had opted to bat first. Most batsmen tried to prove that the decision was correct. Sanath and Sachin had given Mumbai a good start. But they were not able to continue. It was two youngsters, S. Tiwary and A. Rayudu, who took the game away from Royals. These two batsmen had made a mammoth 110 partnership for the fifth wicket. When they departed Mumbai was sitting pretty with a score of 180 with several balls left in the innings. And at the end Mumbai managed to score a mammoth total of 212 with the loss of six wickets.

Mumbai Indians showed some brilliants in the field to get a wicket on the first over of the Rajastan Royals innings. There after Rajastan was always lagging behind. They had no happy moment in the game till the arrival of Yousuf Pathan who hit a 37 ball 100 to take the Royals to victory lane. He hit the ball around the whole side of the park. Again some brilliant fielding by Mumbai had put them back in the game when Pathan was run out by Sathish on his own bowling.

The game was completely filled with entertainment. Youngsters have played well for their franchises as they showed courage even when they lost it. At the end Royals just managed to score 208 runs with the loss of seven wickets which was 4 runs short of Mumbai Indians score. The whole effort made by Pathan ended in vain.

• Mumbai Indians- 212/6 in 20 overs
• Rajastan Royals-208/7 in 20 overs.
• Mumbai Indians won the match by 4 runs.
