IPL 2010 Delhi Daredevils vs. Royal Challengers Bangalore (Match 35) result
Virender Sehwag started very well for Delhi as he scored runs at a quick rate. He smashed attacking the bowlers from the second over itself. He hit five fours and two sixes in his 35 run feast of just 22 balls. After Sehwag’s wicket Delhi started to go down a bit. Gambhir followed him and by the time Delhi reached fifty in just five overs. Then Collingwood came to the crease. He was a bit slow in the start but accelerated well in the end. He was falling short of batsmen when Karthik and Warner went out in quick succession. Delhi slumped to 90 for four in 10.3 overs. Paul Collingwood batted brilliantly at the other end and made a good partnership with Vettori. In the end Collingwood managed to hit three fours and seven sixes in his 46 ball cameo in which he remained unbeaten at 75. Delhi scored 184 for the loss of five wickets in their 20 overs.
Delhi was in full confidence to defend the total they had put on the board. Kallis again proved that he is in good touch. He scored another fifty in this edition of IPL. But he was always falling short of partners. Needing above nine runs per over, Bangalore was always lagging behind. After the loss of wicket of Kevin Pieterson, Utthappa tried to build a partnership with Kallis. But Utthappa got out to some brilliant fielding by David Warner. Ross Taylor tried to attack the bowlers and scored 22 runs from just 10 deliveries. But this was not enough for Bangalore. All other batsmen went to the crease and returned very quickly. Bangalore was slumped to 147 in their 20 overs for the loss of 9 wickets.
• Delhi Daredevils- 184/5 in 20 overs.
• Royal Challengers Bangalore- 147/9 in 20 overs.
• Delhi Daredevils won the match by 37 runs.
